The treasurer of the Minersville Little League was charged with stealing about $50,000 from the organization over a three-year period.
According to the Republican Herald, 48 year old Robert V. Smith, of Pottsville, was charged with the thefts that allegedly occurred between March 2015 and September 2018.
The Little League association is seeking restitution from Smith in the amount of $50,114.27.
Smith will have to answer to the charges against him before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.
