Despite recent rainfall, water levels are still low in parts of PA. As of Wednesday, Schuylkill County is still in a drought watch.
The state Department of Environmental Protection said customers are still being asked to conserve 5 percent water usage because of the drought watch which was issued Aug. 2.
Four nearby counties, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton and Monroe are in a drought warning. The rest of the counties in the state are in a normal designation.
A drought warning calls for conserving water by 10 to 15 percent. Mandatory water restrictions are in place during a drought emergency, which is declared by the governor. The goal during a drought emergency is to conserve at least 15 percent water usage and nonessential water usage would be prohibited.
Water restrictions remain in effect in Schuylkill Count until further notice.
