A Mahanoy City couple charged with causing the death of a woman in what authorities called a case of elder abuse had charges against them held for court after a six-hour preliminary hearing Tuesday.
58 year old John F. Latshaw Jr., and 53 year old Dorothy Robinson were charged by Mahanoy City police Patrolman Thomas Rentschler with causing the Aug. 15, 2015, death of John’s elderly mother, Elaine Latshaw, by neglecting her while being in charge of her primary care while she resided with them.
Along with several felony and misdemeanor counts, the couple will face felony third degree murder charges in Schuylkill County Court.
