Mold Cleared...

The mold problem at John S. Clarke Elementary Center that interrupted the school year has been cleared.

According to the Republican Herald, Nov. 20 was the last day students were at Martz Hall due to mold in the school.

The higher-than-normal humidity caused by above-normal rainfall contributed to the problem at the Pottsville school.

All second-grade and some first-grade students were attending classes at Martz Hall since October.

A letter dated Nov. 23 from Cumberland Analytical Laboratories Inc., said the second floor of the school could be reoccupied except for two rooms which have since been cleared.
