Trezise to be paroled...

Schuylkill County judge John E. Domalakes ruled Wednesday, that a former teacher, who in September admitted prosecutors, could prove she indecently assaulted a male student, is not a sexually violent predator.

40 year old Melinda A. Trezise of Cressona, formerly a sixth-grade teacher in the North Schuylkill School District, pleaded no contest on Sept. 7 after being charged by Butler Township police with having improper contact with the victim, a 13-year-old boy, starting in December 2014 and continuing until April 15, 2015.

Domalakes also granted Trezise’s request for parole, effective on Dec. 14, in order to allow Trezise to start her sexual offender counseling sessions.

She will be subject to 25 years of Megan’s Law sanctions for her conduct.

Trezise was originally sentenced to serve two to 23 months in prison.
