Two water line breaks were discovered in Tamaqua Thursday morning, with one of them forcing the closure of the Tamaqua Area Elementary School.
The breaks were found before 7 a.m., one at the north end of Lombard Street, which is the access road for the elementary school; the other on Pleasant Row.
Lombard Street was closed to all traffic. Borough officials were unsure of how long it would take to repair the breaks.
