Williams Valley School District has responded to a threatening message shared on social media, and as a result, there was a state police presence on campus Tuesday morning and throughout the day.
Also on Tuesday, Upper Dauphin Area School District released an announcement made to Dauphin County schools.
State police at Lykens said they were aware of messages circulating on social media regarding an allegation of a potential school shooting.
The messages were being “actively investigated.” Troopers said the messages could not be substantiated and that the school is open as usual.
As a result of the threats, troopers confirmed there would be an increased police presence on campus as a precautionary measure.
