Mahanoy City Police made two drug arrests as a result of a traffic stop, Saturday evening.
The incident began as police conducted a traffic stop near 10th and East Centre Street in the borough.
A passenger in the vehicle identified as 45 year old Tammy Casserly, of Mahanoy City, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Casserly was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and was committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $50,000 straight cash bail.
A second individual, Shawn Lazer of Barnesville, was also taken into custody by police.
