Six people were taken into custody early Wednesday morning after authorities executed a search warrant at a home in the borough.
According to the Republican Herald, the warrant was executed at a home at 245 Laurel St. and charges were filed against 20 year old Damun Joseph Horn, of Pottsville, 25 year old Joseph M. Yurkonis, of Pottsville, 34 year old Carla J. Minnich, of Minersville, 19 year old Justin M. Yurkonis, of Pottsville, 28 year old Taj Michael Mavretic, of Minersville and 48 year old Kelly Sue Williams, of Tremont.
Charges vary for the six and include possession of a controlled substance, being a fugitive from justice and endangering the welfare of children.
Horn, Mavretic and Justin Yurkonis were arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon, and released on $15,000 unsecured bail.
Williams and Joseph Yurkonis were committed to Schuylkill County Prison on the outstanding warrants while the charges against Minnich were filed with Plachko’s office.
