PBA...

The Pottsville Business Association has instituted a new process for its members whereby they can submit project ideas.

According to the Republican Herald, the new idea was discussed at the monthly PBA meeting Thursday.

The process is being started to “streamline activities in order to make the greatest impact with limited resources,” according to a PBA proposal guideline handout.

Michael Weiss, vice president of PBA, said this gives the members more of an opportunity to continue to be involved in the redevelopment of the city.

He said the goal is to “encourage commerce within the city and attract more shoppers and visitors to Pottsville.”

A written project proposal must be submitted to the PBA board for 2018 by April 15.

Proposals for 2019 are due by Oct. 31.
