The eighth annual Polar Plunge, hosted by the Mad Batters Softball Team, part of the Moms for Make-A-Wish softball league, takes place this weekend.
The annual event will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Deer Lake & West Brunswick Fire Company No. 1, located at 1 Ash Road, Deer Lake.
The plunge will be followed by an after-party at Goodfellas, Pottsville, beginning at 6 p.m. with music by Sapphire starting at 7.
All proceeds go directly to Make-A-Wish. Every $4,400 raised grants a wish.
