Six people were displaced after a fire damaged a home Monday on West Norwegian Street.
According to the Republican Herald, Pottsville Fire Chief James E. Misstishin Sr. said the fire at 807 W. Norwegian St. was contained to the third-floor attic which suffered heavy fire damage.
Misstishin said the house had working smoke detectors on the first and second floors, but not the third.
Homes at 803, 805 and 809 Norwegian St. sustained smoke damage on their third floors.
There were no injuries reported and the fire in under investigation.
