A New Ringgold man was seriously injured when he was ran over by a garbage truck over the weekend.
According to State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the incident occurred when 40 year old Thomas Jones jumped from the back of a garbage truck into a snow bank near the intersection of Mill Street and Fegley Street, in Pine Grove. Jones then slide down a snow pile and beneath the wheel of the garbage truck while it was still in motion.
Jones was transported to Hershey Medical Center with serious injuries. There was no word on his condition.
