St. Jerome Regional School will be moving from its present location in Tamaqua to the former Rush Elementary School.
According to the Republican Herald, a letter sent by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allentown states the Diocese of Allentown plans to purchase the building at 50 Meadow Ave., Hometown, from the Tamaqua Area School District for $1.2 million.
Plans are to move into the Rush Township School over the summer and be ready for the first day of the 2018-19 school year on Aug. 27.
The school board approved the sale at its meeting Tuesday.
