Over a dozen dogs were rescued from a home in Pottsville.
According to Humane Officer, Janine Choplick, an anonymous report was received for a concern of a large number of dogs at 246 Pierce Street, in the city.
10 puppies, all 6 weeks old, and 5 adult dogs were taken from the home. All 15 dogs are now being taken care of at the Hillside SPCA, Pottsville.
The Pottsville Code Department was also notified that the home was posted as "Unfit for Human Habitation."
The woman who lived in the home has not been charged.
