The city of Bethlehem will hold a public hearing on a zoning amendment to address potential medical marijuana business locations.
The ordinance that council will review would allow medical marijuana to be grown in several industrial districts in the city. This would include some portions of the former Bethlehem Steel plant and the city's office research district and would also OK academic clinics and research centers.
The commonwealth has designated that the Lehigh Valley would have two dispensary licensees and two growers or processors. Each dispensary permit would allow up to two additional sites.
The public hearing will be held on May 2, at 7pm, in Town Hall.
