A Frackville man was jailed after a drug-related search warrant in the borough Tuesday netted firearms and illegal drugs worth more than $7,000.
According to the Republican Herald, members of the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office, the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, Frackville police and State Police from Troop L, Reading, executed a court authorized search and seizure warrant at a home on North Railroad Street.
As a result of the warrant, 35 year old John Peter Dougherty Jr. was charged and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
Dougherty will now have to answer to the charges against him at a preliminary hearing before Hale in her Frackville courtroom at a later date.
