Schuylkill County District Attorney, Christine Holman, rewarded law enforcement, Wednesday, for their efforts to drive drugs out of Schuylkill County.
Three checks were awarded to police departments in Butler Township, Shenandoah and Tamaqua totaling $4,047.04.
Holman says these departments have worked diligently to rid communities of drug dealers and users by not only work their regular hours for their own departments but by logging additional hours of overtime for the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force in a collaborative effort to combat the way on drugs.
The District Attorney's Office is able to remit funds as a result of an annual stipend from the Attorney General's Office.
