The Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project, along with Police Departments in Schuylkill County, which include Tamaqua, West Penn Township and Rush Township along with State Police, will be conducting aggressive driving enforcement efforts to highlight that aggressive driving crashes are shown to be significant contributors to traffic injuries and deaths.
The second Aggressive Driving Wave is scheduled to take place thru May 1, 2016.
The focus for this enforcement Wave is Speeding, Work Zones Safety and Keeping Right-Passing Left.
Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors such as driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, or other aggressive actions will also be cited. Wave 2 coincides with National Distracted Driving Month (April) and National Work Zone Awareness Week (April 11th-15th).
