A fight in Shamokin ended with a woman being stabbed and a half-dozen arrests.
According to police, the stabbing victim was 34 year old Zolange Otero-Rivera. Investigators say she was stabbed in the head and chest areas after the fight broke out on the corner of South 5th and West Mulberry streets, around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Otero-Rivera was the only person hurt. Investigators say she was taken to the hospital, but there was no word on her condition.
Police took six people into custody in connection with the brawl, but they say the investigation into what led to that fight is still ongoing.
