A Pottsville man charged with shooting a Kulpmont resident in the legs on Thanksgiving Day is headed to trial next month in Northumberland County Court.
Police allege 19 year old Dashawn Andrew Coward, shot 36 year old Archie Moore, of Kulpmont, multiple times in the legs at the intersection of Walnut and Eighth streets in the borough.
Moore, who was found by police lying in the street, was transported to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for treatment. He escaped serious injury.
Coward will face a jury trial on multiple charges ont May 10 before Judge Hugh A. Jones, with jury selection scheduled for May 7.
