The Great Pottsville Cruise is not likely to happen this year. The Pottsville Business Association, was asked to take over the task of running this year’s cruise, but said they are not going to do it.
The PBA did not see taking on the cruise for 2017 as a financially prudent decision for their membership but said the organization is open to partnering with an organization next year to carry on the cruise tradition.
Dave Clews has been chairman of the cruise but due to health complications, is not able to run the event.
This August would have been the 24th year for the cruise.
