The parents of a 22-month-old child that accidentally ate a bag of meth have been charged.
26 year old John Kemmerer and 24 year old Leanne Popp, both of Auburn, are facing aggravated assault, simple assault, endangering the welfare of children, and various controlled substance charges after their baby girl allegedly ate the bag of drugs on Sunday.
Popp was arrested at the hospital where the baby was flown. Kemmerer, after briefly being listed as at large by authorities, has been arrested, as well.
A $25-thousand cash bail has been set for both who are currently being held in the Schuylkill County Prison.
Police say the incident occurred at a home in the 1000 block of Pueblo Drive in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County. It's not clear how much meth was consumed but authorities say the baby doesn’t appear to be seriously harmed.
