A Port Carbon man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop.
The incident occurred on April 12, 2016 at approximately 7:35 pm, when the Orwigsburg Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the 800 block of W. Market Street in the borough.
An investigation at the scene revealed that not only was the driver of the vehicle operating on a suspended license, but the passenger 29 year old Zackary Freeze, of Port Carbon, had a warrant out of Schuylkill County adult probation.
Freeze was found to be in possession of methamphetamine packaged for sale as well as additional drug packaging material.
Freeze was initially incarcerated on a detainer placed upon him by adult probation and later arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James Ferrier.
A preliminary hearing was tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 25.
