Trial Set...

53 year old Robert B. Bailey, of Tamaqua, learned Monday that he will go to trial in June in the case that could put him behind bars for life.

According to the Republican Herald, Tamaqua police charged Bailey with first and third-degree murder for fatally stabbing his wife, Diane M. Bailey, in November 2017 at their Tamaqua residence.

Police alleged the two had spent much of the day arguing and she was preparing to move out.

Officials said Robert Bailey pushed Diane Bailey down the steps of the residence then stabbed her. Judge John E. Domalakes, who is presiding over Bailey’s case, has scheduled the trial for June 17.
