The Pottsville Police Department is investigating a string of overdoses in the city.
According to Skook News, Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowsky said the department is currently investigating the death of a 26 year old Florida man inside a Pottsville residence that was discovered at approximately 1:30am, Monday, April 16, 2018.
Preliminary evidence suggests the death was the result of a fatal drug overdose and an autopsy is pending.
In addition, there have also been three separate incidents in the city over the last three days where five separate people had to have Nalaxone administered by emergency officials to reverse the effects of a drug overdose.
