30 year old Jonathan W. Montag, of Minersville, will serve time behind state prison bars after being sentenced Wednesday in Schuylkill County Court for breaking into two church rectories, two schools and a fire company.
Pottsville police alleged Montag burglarized the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church Rectory on Mahantongo St., the American Hose Company, on West Norwegian Street and Nativity BVM High School on Lawtons Hill.
Police said Montag admitted committing all three Pottsville burglaries.
Meanwhile, Minersville police alleged Montag burglarized St. Nicholas Ukrainian School and Rectory onFront St., Minersville.
All of the crimes took place in 2015.
Judge John E. Domalakes ruled that Montag, must spend two years in the state intermediate punishment program, which combines prison time with substance abuse rehabilitation, followed by three years on probation.
