Fire crews were called to a brush and tire just after noon, Sunday, in Conyngham Township, Columbia County near Centralia.
According to Skook News, heavy black smoke could be seen from all directions including Ashland and other surrounding communities.
The fire was located about 2 miles back from the main highway.
Fire crews used all-terrain vehicles and four wheel drive trucks to get access to the fire. Columbia and northern Schuylkill County crews responded and had the fire out in just over an hour.
No word on what caused the fire.
