The report of nine puppies pulled from a creek in Schuylkill County on April 19, near Pine Grove, was found to be untrue.
Animal Cruelty Officer Bridget Barder, took the remains to the veterinarians at the Pennsylvania Agriculture Department for autopsies on what were thought to be either Greyhound or Great Dane puppies, and discovered the remains to actually be those of foxes, not puppies.
According to sources the foxes appeared to have been trapped.
