Schuylkill County voters will hit the polls Tuesday for the primary election, with Republicans and Democrats voting on who they want to represent their parties in the race for president and several state offices in the November General Election.
Republicans and Democrats will also vote for delegates to represent the 17th Congressional District at their party’s national convention. Democratic voters will select seven delegates, while Republican voters will select three.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane, who is currently under felony indictment and suspended from practicing law, is not seeking re-election. Three Democrats and two Republicans are looking to replace her.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the 125 precincts throughout the county.
