A Pottsville Area student has been charged after making a threat to bring a weapon to school.
According to Skook News, Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowksy, said police were notified by administrators at the DHH Lengle Middle School that they had been advised a 12 year old 6th grade male student made statements the previous day, threatening to bring a weapon to school.
The student admitted to having made the statements and custody was transferred to Schuylkill County Juvenile Probation.
In addition, the Pottsville Area School District is utilizing their internal discipline program to prohibit the student from being on school property for the remainder of the school year.
