The identity of a woman found dead near Girardville has been released.
According to Skook News, a Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner said the body of 30 year old Linda Marie McCoy, of Cressona was found along Rapp Road, in Butler Township, near Girardville, around 12:30pm on Monday.
State Police Police say they responded to the scene after a U.S. Postal Service employee discovered the body while he was delivering mail in the area of 21 Rapp Road.
The PSP Troop L Major Case team was activated and is handling the investigation that continues pending autopsy.
