About 60,000 PPL customers in Carbon and Schuylkill counties were affected by an incorrect mailing about replacing their electric meters.
Joe Nixon, strategic communications manager, PPL Electric Utilities, said the letters were sent out by mistake due to mail production error and stated that PPL was unsuccessful in reaching the customer to replace their meter.
To complete the work, PPL technicians need clear access to the electric meters.
Customers can call 1-800-254-0344 to schedule the meter replacement.
