Some stores to relocate...

Several stores in the Schuylkill Mall say they want to relocate and remain local.

According to the Republican Herald, Rebekah Hall, owner of Rebekah’s Creations, said she has plans to relocate her soaps and spa items business to 203 W. Market St., Pottsville.

Rob Williams, manager of Brackney Leather, also said the store is looking for another location, adding they would like to stay within 10 minutes of the mall.

Dunham’s Sports store also has to go. Employees at the store said efforts are underway to relocate, however, a new location has not yet been provided.

The remaining tenants in the mall were told they need to vacate within 60 to 90 days. NP New Castle LLC, Riverside, Missouri, purchased the mall for $2.1 million earlier this year.

Exactly what they plan to do with the property hasn’t been stated.
