Traffic restrictions will be in place for the annual Soap Box Derby in the City of Pottsville this Saturday.
Pottsville Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said Laurel Boulevard will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic between North Second Street and North Seventh Street starting at approximately 6:30 a.m. until the end of the event.
In addition, there will be no parking allowed on Laurel Boulevard, between North Second and North Seventh streets beginning at 6 a.m. until the end of the event.
A rain date for the derby is scheduled for Sunday.
