The burn ban that was issued April 21st, 2017 for Schuylkill County was lifted on Sunday, May 21st, at noon.
The Schuylkill County Commissioners enacted the 30 day burn ban due to dry conditions in the county which caused numerous brush fires.
The recommendation for the burn ban came from the Pennsylvania Department of conservation and Natural Resources.
