Pair want charges dropped...

The two people charged in connection with the death of a Mahanoy City woman asked a Schuylkill County judge on Monday to dismiss all charges against them.

58 year old John F. Latshaw Jr., the son of the dead woman, and 54 year old Dorothy Robinson, each asked Judge John E. Domalakes to dismiss charges of third-degree murder, among other charges, after Mahanoy City police allege John Latshaw and Robinson neglected the care of Elaine Latshaw that resulted in her death on Aug. 15, 2015, in their 325 E. South St. residence.

Attorneys argued that their clients are not legally considered to be caretakers and had no legal duty to aid Elaine Latshaw.

Domalakes asked District Attorney Christine A. Holman, and attorneys for the pair to submit briefs outlining their legal positions on the case by July 10.

He did not say when he would rule after they were submitted.
