Water Meters...

Some Schuylkill County Municipal Authority customers could soon be without water service because they have not yet had their meters switched out as required.

According to the Republican Herald, Patrick M. Caulfield, executive director of SCMA, said, “The first final notice with regard to threat of disruption of water services letters went out May 3 to zones A, B and C. Residential and small business customers in those zones have until June 7 to contact Lenegan Plumbing & Heating LLC to schedule the meter installations at no cost.

A final notification letter was sent to those in zone D with a deadline of June 23.

SCMA plans to begin the discontinuation of service for those customers who have not responded to the letter.

Customers can call 855-892-3830 or visit www.ocnjplumber.com to schedule an appointment.

The project is slated to be completed July 7.
