A Coaldale man faces child endangerment charges after a drug overdose in 2016.
Police said a bystander found 32 year old Marco Caruso’s 5-year-old sons inside a restroom at Wayne Grube Memorial Park in Allen Township, where Caruso lay unconscious in a stall for 20 minutes while one of the boys kept pricking himself in the finger with a hypodermic needle as he tried to put the cap on.
Police were notified and found him at 4:51 p.m. July 13. Caruso completed a drug and alcohol inpatient treatment program at on April 4, and inpatient substance abuse treatment at Lehigh County Center for Recovery on Feb. 7, 2017.
He will be sentenced July 21 and could face up to five years in prison.
