A Schuylkill Haven man was jailed after being arrested by Pottsville police stemming from an incident about 9 p.m. May 16 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill, in Pottsville.
Police said officers were called after a 26-year-old Minersville man walked into the emergency room with multiple stab wounds to his body.
The initial investigation revealed an altercation occurred in the area of East Market and North George streets where officers found a blood trail that led them to an apartment on the 400 block of Norwegian Street in Pottsville. Police learned 36 year old Eric Keefe attacked the Minersville man while inside the apartment.
Keefe was taken into custody and arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.
He was committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $100,000 straight cash bail.
