A Pottsville woman died from injuries she suffered in a crash Wednesday along Interstate 81 in Pine Grove Township.
According to the Republican Herald, State police at Jonestown said 43 year old Michelle Koudelka, was driving south about 11:15 p.m. when her vehicle exited the interstate in the area of mile marker 99.7, went down an embankment and struck a tree.
Koudelka was extricated from her vehicle by firefighters and taken to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, with critical injuries.
Police said Koudelka died from her injuries during surgery at the trauma center.
The investigation into the crash is continuing and police said there were no other vehicles involved.
