Investigation continues...

Frackville police are continuing their investigation into the death of a man found inside his home just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the Republican Herald, Police Chief Richard Bell said the name of the man, who is believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s, is not being released until a positive identification is obtained.

Bell said the house at 443 N. Third St. was deemed a crime scene and processed by investigators with the Pennsylvania State Police Forensic Services Unit based at Troop L headquarters in Reading.

Forensic experts cleared the area late Thursday afternoon and Bell said the property is no longer an active crime scene.

A forensic autopsy is planned for this weekend.
