American Legion representatives are planning a celebration in Schuylkill County to mark the organization’s 100th anniversary.
According to the Republican Herald, area legislators are scheduled to attend the Sept. 7 ceremony, which will feature food and refreshments, vendors, exhibits and live music.
Admission and parking are free.
Veterans from American Legion District 13 are coordinating the event which will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 7 at Island Park.
The next planning meeting will be 6:30 p.m. June 19 at Island Park.
