Cass Township police made an arrest for the burglary at the St. Kierans Church in Heckscherville.
Police reported that someone broke in the church, in early May, cutting out numerous church pews along with pipes and electrical wiring. The suspects then smashed a side window to remove the items.
On May 24, Cass Township Police filed a criminal complaint against 54 year old Steven Platts, of Norwegian Township.
He was taken into custody by Saint Clair Police and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Reilley. He was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 straight cash bail.
