Mahanoy City Police identified an attacker and provide an update on the victim's condition after a stabbing that occurred in the borough Friday evening.
According to Skook News, Mahanoy City Police received a report of a male who was brought by a private vehicle to a Pottsville hospital after an apparent stabbing.
On Saturday, police provided an update on the incident that stated authorities positively identified the person of interest regarding the stabbing that occurred in the 500 block of East Mahanoy Street.
The victim, who was treated at a regional trauma hospital, has had his condition upgraded and is currently in stable condition.
Police said this is still an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to send it
