Ten more people have been cited for trespassing at The Rock and Kernsville Dam area.
The Rock, a popular but dangerous destination, is located on the Tilden Township, Berks County side of the Schuylkill River and the Kernsville Dam is closed to the public due to the hazards posed by jumping and swimming.
Tilden Township police said 10 adults were found trespassing in the area recently. Four Lancaster residents were found May 24 at the Kernsville Dam north of the “no trespassing” signs and six people were found at The Rock on Saturday. Three of the six were from the local area, Auburn, Orwigsburg and Schuylkill Haven, while the rest were from Harleysville, Nesquehoning and Wilmington, Delaware.
All will be cited for criminal trespass.
Since April, the Tilden Township Police Department has cited 55 people for trespassing in the area.
