Due to snow days that interrupted the school calendar, the Mahanoy Area Class of 2017 will graduate two days later than originally scheduled.
According to the Republican Herald, the Mahanoy Area school board approved the revised 2016-17 school calendar with commencement exercises now set for June 9, changed from the original date of June 7.
The last day of school for all students is also June 9. There will be an early dismissal for the high and middle schools at 1 p.m. and the elementary school at 1:30 p.m.
The last day for teachers is June 16.
