Gov. Tom Wolf has ordered U.S. and Pennsylvania state flags at the Capitol complex, commonwealth facilities and public buildings in the state lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims of the shooting at a gay nightclub in Florida.
The shooting happened early Sunday, when 29-year-old Omar Mateen opened fire in the night club killing at least 50 people and injuring at least 53 more.
The governor said he and first lady Frances Wolf were sending their thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families and the Orlando community.
