Mahanoy City police filed charges against the chief of the Ryan Township Emergency and Rescue Squad in connection with an incident in the borough last month.
According to the Republican Herald, 59 year old Darrell M. Harris was charged with misdemeanor offenses by Patrolman Charles Kovalewski after Harris became hostile towards police at an incident involving a heroin overdose at 205 W. Mahanoy Ave. on May 26.
The victim was reportedly Harris’ son.
Harris will have to answer to the charges against him before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, Shenandoah.
