Police in Pottsville are investing a bank robbery that took place Tuesday morning, in the city. 

According to Skook News, Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojiechowsky said, "The Pottsville Police are actively investigating an incident at the M&T Bank, Centre and E. Norwegian Streets, that occurred at approximately 11:45am.” 

Authorities say the suspect is a white male, with a thin build, standing approximately 6’ tall. He was wearing a lime green shirt, dark hat and sunglasses.

 The suspect gave a note to a teller demanding money. 

Wojiechowsky said "No weapon was used during the incident and no threats were used. After receiving the money the male left the bank in an unknown direction of travel."
